Smart Flight Modes
Follow
The drone locks onto your subject and trails from behind or above, keeping them centered in the frame. Perfect for activities like cycling, running, or walking where you want the camera to move naturally with you.
Parallel
The Atom 2 flies alongside the subject, maintaining a fixed side angle. This creates dynamic action shots, capturing movement and scenery at the same time — ideal for marketing clips or cinematic lifestyle footage.
Spotlight
The drone hovers in place or moves independently while keeping the camera locked on the subject at all times. Great for presentations, filming speeches, or when you want the person to remain the clear focus no matter how the drone moves.
Camera Specs & Highlights
Under the hood, the Atom 2 features a 1/2-inch Sony CMOS sensor with an effective 48 MP output for photos, and delivers video in 4K up to 30fps. The aperture is f/1.8, helping in low-light. It supports formats like JPG + RAW (DNG) and has FOV ~79.4°. Resolutions: 8000×6000 for stills, multiple aspect ratios for video (16:9, 4:3, vertical).
EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization)
In addition to the mechanical 3-axis gimbal, the Atom 2 provides EIS to reduce shake further, especially helpful during handheld-look segments, when using zoom or during smooth panoramas. Combined with the gimbal it yields very stable footage, even when the drone maneuvers or facing mild movement. (It doesn’t replace the gimbal but complements it.) — ensures smoother video, fewer jitters.
Video
Shoot 4K HDR video (30fps) with vibrant color and dynamic range; ideal for cinematic shots or action scenes. Low light performance is boosted via AI Night mode.
Photo
Capture crisp details with 48MP stills; shoot in RAW for more editing flexibility. Burst, bracket and timer modes allow creative control.
Panorama
Multiple panoramic photo styles — Wide Angle, 180°, Sphere — letting you capture landscapes or immersive shots with sweeping perspectives.
Slow Motion
Capture FHD video at higher frame rates (2× / 3× / 4× / 5×), letting you stretch out moments and add drama or detail to fast-moving subjects.
Time-Lapse
Use interval timer shooting to compress long scenes into short clips — perfect for sunsets, cityscapes or movement over time. Set intervals from 2s up to 30s depending on effect.
In-Flight & Control Features
Return to Home (RTH)
When battery is low or signal drops, Atom 2 can automatically return to its home point — you don’t need to worry about losing it. Helps ensure safety and peace of mind, especially in longer range flights.
Easy Controller & Beginner Mode
The remote controller is designed for intuitive control: simple layout, directional antenna, works with the Potensic Eve app. Beginner Mode limits speed, altitude and responsiveness so you’re more in control when learning or when you want safer flights. Good ramp-up into advanced flight
10 km Transmission Range
Using PixSync 4.0 transmission tech, the Atom 2 supports video transmission up to ~10 km (unobstructed conditions) with decent latency (~120 ms live view). Great for exploring, filming large areas, or getting creative with wide shots.
3-Axis Stabilization (Gimbal + Mechanical)
The drone is fitted with a 3-axis gimbal to mechanically stabilize pitch, roll, and yaw, which is essential for smooth video. Combined with its tilt/roll/pan range, it allows precise framing and reduces vibration artifacts even in wind or during movement.
Strong Wind Resistance
Rated for resisting wind speeds of up to 38 km/h (approx Level 5), so the Atom 2 remains stable in breezy conditions. This means less drift, better control, and more usable footage even when the weather isn’t perfect.
On-the-Ground & Build Details
Lightweight Build
Under 249 g including original battery, propellers and a microSD card. This lightweight status helps with portability, ease of transport, and often fewer regulatory requirements in many countries.
Foldable Design
Folded size ~88 × 143 × 58 mm makes it compact. Unfolded ~300 × 242 × 58 mm (with propellers). The foldable arms and compact form make it easy to carry in a backpack or travel case.
Battery System & Fast-Charge Case
The Atom 2 offers a maximum flight time of ~32 minutes under ideal conditions (windless, moderate speed). Two-way hovering indoors extends hovering time.
If you add two extra batteries (so you have three), there is a parallel charging hub / case that can fast-charge all three batteries simultaneously. This means less downtime between flights, more shooting time overall.
GPS & GNSS (GPS + GLONASS + Galileo + BeiDou)
The Atom 2 uses multiple global navigation satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou) for better accuracy. Hovering accuracy is good: with vision positioning vertical ±0.1 m, horizontal ±0.3 m; with GNSS vertical ±0.5 m, horizontal ±1.5 m. Helps with stable hovering, precise positioning, safe return.
